idea generation (ii)

Again instead of resorting to time consuming sketching on a piece of paper i have taken my ideas straight into indesign and tried a few different layouts out. i know this isn't the proper way to go through a design process but i believe it will generate some quick interesting ideas and concepts for this brief.

I think this design could have distance as it is eye catching and delivers the message clearly and effectively. the only bad points i could see with it is that i don't think it would be able to work consistently across a range of media and products.

In comparison to the above design i prefer this one. i think the yellow stands out alot more than the blue ad the simple left align type works better than the diagonal type.

Playing with the CMYK colour spectrum this may limit the design to seem to advertise print based courses and not represent the college as a whole.

This layout is fairly different to any one that has come before. it is an interesting concept but legibility maybe an issue when applying to other media forms.

I really like the simple centered layout of the main body of type in this design. It works really simply but effectively as a visual piece. im not too keen on te cut through lines on the type and fear these may come under criticism

As a visual concept this works well.the colour may have to be changed so that legibility isn't an issue. I think the landscape formate is a strong aspect of this design.

Again this design being big and bold really works, especially on the landscape format. i think the ready or not concept works well, with this being portrayed with the stripe of colour starting form the left and bleeding of the page, as if to signify a start but no ending. Relating back to the new careers the graduates face.
